According to the county on May 23, World No Tobacco Day is observed every year on May 31. It was established by the World Health Organization (WHO) to create a smoke-free environment and marks its 38th anniversary this year.

In conjunction with this campaign, the county is also displaying smoking cessation banners for one month in all 12 towns and townships, actively working to prevent smoking and foster a culture of quitting tobacco among local residents.

The Health and Medical Center's Smoking Cessation Clinic offers one-on-one counseling for individuals wishing to quit smoking, provides smoking cessation aids and behavioral reinforcement items, and operates programs to help participants successfully quit. Those interested in participating can call or visit the Smoking Cessation Clinic.

Kim Daegon, Director of the Health and Medical Center, said, "Through this campaign, we aim to reinforce the perception that smoking is a disease that requires treatment. We will continue to promote a variety of public health initiatives to further improve the health of our residents."
