This 10th round of recruitment targeted companies founded within the past seven years and aspiring entrepreneurs. Amid a high competition ratio of 7:1, a total of 19 companies were ultimately selected.
Notably, this year, the program expanded participation opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs, resulting in 8 out of the selected teams being pre-startup teams. The bank plans to continue providing diverse support, focusing on strengthening the capabilities of early-stage companies with high growth potential.
The selected companies have been recognized for their technological capabilities and market potential across various industries, including AI-based platforms, fintech, and edtech.
For example, Minerva Edu is responding to real needs in the education field with its AI collaborative education system, while Megaplan has gained attention for its mass production item of live mackerel utilizing year-round mackerel spawning technology.
BNK Busan Bank will establish tailored mentoring plans for the selected companies through expert pre-assessments and will operate execution-focused support programs, including one-on-one in-person mentoring, business model advancement, and pitching strategy enhancement.
In addition, the bank will provide practical startup infrastructure, such as free office space, demo day events, investment attraction linkage, and partner networking.
A BNK Busan Bank representative stated, "We will provide the 10th cohort companies with a practical startup environment aimed at sustainable growth rather than short-term results," and added, "We will actively support the bank's infrastructure and know-how so that creative local startups can grow into globally competitive companies."
Since its launch in July 2019, 'Some Incubator' has produced a total of 113 companies, with many of them securing actual investments, leading to a cumulative investment attraction of 13.1 billion KRW. The program has established itself as a leading regional startup support platform.
