The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that on the 22nd, it conducted a safety inspection of construction sites near schools in cooperation with an inspection team composed of the Ministry of Education and the Korea Educational Facility Safety Institute, in order to prevent safety accidents.

The inspection focused on whether appropriate safety measures were implemented according to the results of safety assessments, as well as the structural integrity of educational facilities, the safety of adjacent land and ground, the adequacy of accident prevention facilities, and the safety of school routes.

Any risk factors identified during the inspection were immediately reported to the construction companies to ensure the safety of educational facilities. Cho Gwangmin, Director of Facilities at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "We will continue to strengthen safety management of educational facilities and eliminate risk factors around schools to create a safe educational environment and promote a culture of integrity."
