Suwon City to Host 'Manseokgeo Saebit Festival' from June 5 to 15

Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will host the '2025 Manseokgeo Saebit Festival' next month.

On May 23, Suwon City announced that the Manseokgeo Saebit Festival will take place at Manseok Park from June 5 to June 15. This marks the second consecutive year for the festival, which aims to promote the value of Manseokgeo, a World Irrigation Facility Heritage site, and to revitalize Suwon's nighttime tourism.

The festival will open on June 5 at 8:20 p.m. with a fantastic music fountain and aurora show, fireworks, and busking performances.

On June 6 and 7, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the music fountain and aurora show will be held twice each night. In addition, various landscape lights will be installed along the route from the plaza of the Second Outdoor Music Hall to the Manseokgeo promenade, creating the 'Saebit Walkway' until the festival concludes on June 15.

The Saebit Walkway will feature rice grain lighting, gobo lighting (which projects images onto the ground), tree firefly lasers, arch sculptures, string lights (lighting fixtures strung in long lines), and photo zones.

A Suwon City official stated, "We have prepared a variety of nighttime tourism programs," and added, "We hope many citizens will visit the Manseokgeo Saebit Festival to enjoy the charm and romance of the night."

Following the Manseokgeo Saebit Festival, Suwon City will also host a variety of nighttime festivals, including: Suwon National Heritage Night Tour (June 13-15), Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival (September 27-October 4), Suwon Hwaseong Media Art (September 27-October 12), and Hwaseong Haenggung Night Opening (May 3-November 2).
