According to Seo-gu on May 23, this initiative is part of the sports class voucher support project and is designed to provide socially disadvantaged children and youth, who are often excluded from sports activities, with opportunities for a healthy cultural life and family bonding.

'Dream Kids School', which is funded by the National Sports Promotion Fund and the Lottery Fund, targets children and youth from first grade of elementary school to third grade of middle school from culturally and economically vulnerable families, such as basic livelihood security recipients, near-poor households, and single-parent families. Participating families can receive up to 500,000 won in experience fees.

The program consists of four sessions: ▲ Session 1 offers horseback riding classes and a sheep ranch experience ▲ Session 2 features pickleball (a sport combining tennis, badminton, and table tennis), archery, and VR sports experiences ▲ Session 3 provides indoor surfing classes ▲ Session 4 includes laser shooting and climbing. Sessions 1 and 2 will be held in June, while Sessions 3 and 4 will take place after August.

The recruitment quota is 40 for Session 1 and 80 for Session 2. Applications can be submitted from May 26 to June 5 through the sports class voucher website, and applicants may also apply in person at the Sports and Tourism Division of Seo-gu Office.

Jeon Chun-gye, head of the Sports and Tourism Division, stated, "Dream Kids School will be a special opportunity for children in welfare blind spots, providing them with more than just an experience, but also helping them build confidence and vitality." He added, "We will continue to develop various experiential welfare projects to further strengthen sports welfare."
