Guidance on Admission Precautions,
Career and Further Education Information
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will hold a '2026 High School Admission Basic Plan Training' session at Sohyang Art Hall, Dongseo University, at 2:30 p.m. on May 23, targeting a total of approximately 520 third-grade homeroom teachers from middle schools.
This training session has been organized to help field teachers better understand the high school admission process, so that they can provide students and parents with practical information regarding career paths and further education.
The training will provide detailed guidance on the admission methods for both early and regular high schools, important considerations when applying, and the special admission and placement procedures for students eligible for national merit benefits.
In addition, the session will offer a thorough explanation of essential information that teachers must be familiar with, such as the allocation method for standardized general high schools and the prohibition of dual applications.
Furthermore, the training will focus on the guidelines for calculating middle school academic records, which are a key factor in high school admissions. The plan is to support teachers in providing students with more reliable admission information by offering clear explanations regarding the standards for calculation, methods of reflection, and evaluation criteria.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "This training will serve as an opportunity to provide third-grade homeroom teachers with useful information about high school admissions and career guidance," and added, "We will continue to strengthen teachers' capacity for admission guidance through further training and consulting."
