Applications Accepted from May 26 to June 20
Hyundai Motor Company announced on May 23 that it is recruiting schools to participate in the second semester of 2025 for its 'Future Mobility School,' a talent development program for the future mobility industry.
The Future Mobility School is a student-led, activity-based program that Hyundai Motor Company is conducting in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, marking the first such partnership between a private company and the ministry. The program is designed to support young people in learning about the development process of the mobility industry, as well as innovative technologies such as autonomous driving and robotics, so they can grow into leaders in future mobility.
Now in its tenth year, the Future Mobility School has been held at 2,720 schools worldwide, reaching approximately 110,000 students to date. This year, the program will expand its target countries from the previous five (Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia) to nine, adding China, Vietnam, Laos, and the Philippines.
Hyundai Motor Company has structured the program with a variety of activities, rather than traditional lecture-based classes, including autonomous driving mobility kits, mobility upcycling kits, and future lifestyle planning reports.
In particular, for this second semester, the program has been updated to allow students to preview changes in the future mobility environment, focusing on hydrogen energy and smart mobility. In addition, to keep pace with the global automotive industry's shift from hardware-centered to software-based vehicles, content related to the core technologies of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) has been added.
The 2025 second semester Future Mobility School, which will be conducted at domestic and overseas Korean schools, consists of several programs: 'A Sustainable Future Life Created by Future Mobility' for elementary school students in grades 4 to 6; a short-term middle school program titled 'Evolution Toward Smart Mobility'; and a regular middle school program called 'Future Lifestyle with Mobility.'
Schools participating in the Future Mobility School can utilize the related educational kits in various ways, including curriculum-linked activities (cross-curricular learning, integrated lessons, etc.), the free semester system, career education, and creative experiential activities. For teachers operating the regular middle school and elementary programs, online training is provided to ensure they can conduct classes directly in the field without difficulty.
Schools wishing to participate in the 2025 second semester Future Mobility School can apply from May 26 to June 20.
A Hyundai Motor Company representative stated, "We plan to continue expanding the program to foster interest and enthusiasm for the mobility industry among future generations through ongoing education, and to prepare together for a sustainable future."
