Ilsan Hospital Operates a 24-Hour Dedicated Pediatric Emergency Care System
On May 22, Lee Donghwan, mayor of Goyang City, visited the National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital to thoroughly examine the emergency medical system for high-risk pregnant women, newborns, and pediatric emergency patients.

On that day, Mayor Lee Donghwan visited Ilsan Hospital, a regional emergency medical center, to inspect the on-site situation and expressed his gratitude to the medical staff who are doing their utmost for the health of citizens in times of crisis.
He wished a speedy recovery to citizens visiting the hospital and promised to work toward the normalization of the medical system.
During a meeting with Han Changhun, director of Ilsan Hospital, Mayor Lee stated, "The emergency and essential medical system is the 'last line of defense' that must be protected." He also encouraged the hospital, saying, "Thanks to Ilsan Hospital being the only facility in northern Gyeonggi Province with a 24-hour dedicated pediatric emergency care system, the anxiety and worries of our citizens about their children falling ill late at night have been alleviated."
He added, "Under any circumstances, we will do our utmost to minimize medical service gaps to ensure the safety of citizens, which is directly linked to life."
Meanwhile, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital to establish a pediatric and adolescent medical environment, the city began construction of the National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Children's Hospital (tentative name) in April, accelerating efforts to build pediatric emergency infrastructure.
