Sejong City announced that it will support the distribution of smart technologies, such as unmanned terminals, to help restaurants, cafes, and bakeries reduce labor costs.

The project to support the digital transformation of food service businesses is linked to the Smart Store Technology Distribution Project of the Small Enterprise and Market Service. It provides partial financial support for barrier-free unmanned terminals, digital information displays (DID), and serving robots.

Eligible recipients will receive 10% of the supply price of smart technologies.

The support is capped at 650,000 won for barrier-free unmanned terminals and digital information displays, and 2,200,000 won for serving robots.

Eligible businesses must be operating food service establishments in Sejong City as of the announcement date and must be selected as recipients of the Small Enterprise and Market Service's Smart Store Technology Distribution Project.

Applications to participate in the Smart Store Technology Distribution Project can be submitted on the relevant website until May 30.

Lee Youngok, Director of Health and Welfare, stated, "Introducing smart devices to local food service businesses will help reduce the burden of labor costs and enhance competitiveness. We will continue to provide support to help food service businesses respond to market changes and improve management efficiency."
