Spear to Exclusively Supply Canadian AI Medical Wireless Ultrasound Scanning System in Korea

On May 22, Spear announced that it will become the exclusive domestic distributor of the AI-based wireless ultrasound scanning system developed by Canadian medical imaging device specialist Clarius Mobile Health (hereafter Clarius).

Founded in 2014, Clarius is an innovative technology company and a premium wireless ultrasound brand. The company has supplied more than 25,000 devices across over 90 countries worldwide. Clarius is currently advancing its AI technology using over 6 million clinical data cases.

The Clarius HD3 series allows users to quickly and conveniently view high-resolution ultrasound images by connecting to smart devices, rather than relying on bulky console equipment. This convenience, along with the ability to reduce examination times from several hours to just 15 minutes, offers significant efficiency.

Additionally, the system supports AI-based automatic image optimization, voice control, and anatomical structure indexing (T-Mode™), thereby improving both diagnostic efficiency and educational effectiveness. It is rapidly being adopted in various medical specialties, including emergency medicine, orthopedics, and obstetrics and gynecology.

Last year, Spear was selected as the official distributor of Clarius wireless ultrasound diagnostic devices in Korea through a strategic partnership with Clarius. Spear has completed the first stage of Clarius’s distribution in Korea by obtaining radio certification, and plans to conduct demo programs and hands-on training sessions for hospitals, clinics, and medical centers.

Choi Kwangsoo, CEO of Spear, stated, "We expect the AI-based wireless ultrasound scanning system to dramatically improve medical accessibility," adding, "We will focus on building a smart healthcare ecosystem centered around Clarius in the future."

Meanwhile, Spear’s digital healthcare division provides a variety of medical data-based solutions, including a PHR (Personal Health Record) platform, disease prediction AI, and personalized nutrition. The division aims to expand into life care, offering easily accessible medical services through personalized health management solutions. In addition, Spear plans to expand its range of integrated services, such as AI diagnostic support, telemedicine integration, and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) solutions.
