The resident-operated booths will include about 50 locations for cultural experiences and food, and about 40 locations for the sale of local agricultural products, totaling around 90 booths. Eligible applicants are resident communities and farms based in Wanju County.

Those wishing to participate can refer to the announcement on the official Wanju County website and submit an application in person at the Tourism and Sports Division of Wanju County Office from June 9 to June 11. However, applications for agricultural product sales will be accepted at the respective town and township offices from May 28 to June 11.

The county plans to select operators during June, taking into comprehensive consideration the relevance to Wanju County and the festival's theme, contribution to branding, attractiveness, distinctiveness, and booth operation capabilities, with a focus on menus that utilize local food and reflect regional characteristics.

Selected operators will participate in capacity-building training through the festival academy, which will cover general festival information, safety, service education, and consulting, to help them represent Wanju County at the festival site.

County Governor Yoo Heetae said, "The Wild & Local Food Festival is the county's representative festival, created together with residents," and added, "We hope to see much interest and participation from capable resident communities who will proudly showcase our local culture and food as representatives of the county."

Meanwhile, the 13th Wanju Wild & Local Food Festival will be held from September 26 to 28 at the Gosanjayeon Recreation Forest. Visitors will be able to enjoy wild experiences such as catching fish with bare hands, catching grasshoppers, and firewood oven grilling in pristine nature, as well as exciting activities like water play in Sirangcheon Stream and tree extreme adventures. In addition, visitors can enjoy healthy local foods, including local meals prepared by residents from 13 towns and townships and agricultural products produced in the region.
