Specially Organized to Support Local Small Business Owners
Struggling with Severe Management Difficulties Due to the Collapse of the Local Commercial District

BNK Kyongnam Bank will participate as the first runner in a relay campaign promoted by Changwon City to revitalize the Masan commercial district.

BNK Kyongnam Bank Holds "BNK Communication Day" to Boost Local Commercial Districts on Its 55th Anniversary BNK Communication Day.

On May 22, BNK Kyongnam Bank announced that it held "BNK Communication Day" to boost the local commercial district in celebration of its 55th anniversary.

BNK Communication Day was specially organized to support local small business owners who are suffering from severe management difficulties due to the economic downturn and the collapse of local commercial districts.

On May 22, a total of about 120 people attended the BNK Communication Day event, including Bank President Kim Taehan, Labor Union Chairman Kim Junghyun, employees from headquarters departments and Changwon Sales Group branches, as well as Changwon City Planning and Coordination Director Kim Jongpil, Economic and Job Affairs Director Cho Youngwan, and other public officials.

The participating employees and public officials were divided among four restaurants near Changwon NC Park to have lunch.

Starting with this event, BNK Kyongnam Bank plans to encourage about 1,200 executives and employees to hold small group gatherings or company dinners within branches in the Changwon NC Park (Sanho-dong, Yangdeok-dong) commercial district and nearby business areas by May 31.

President Kim Taehan stated, "We will make efforts at the bank level to ensure that BNK Communication Day for revitalizing the local commercial district does not end as a one-time event but continues. BNK Kyongnam Bank will stand together so that not only local small business owners but also local residents who visit and spend in the area can smile."

He added, "To quickly provide funds to local small business owners who are struggling with decreased sales due to the economic downturn, we are promoting the 'Small Business Hope Sharing Win-Win Finance' program this year with a scale of 33.5 billion KRW. Since we have expanded the support limit and eligible recipients, we expect it to be effective. BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to seek various ways to support local small business owners."

Meanwhile, BNK Kyongnam Bank is also participating in the "Good Prepayment Campaign" in addition to BNK Communication Day for revitalizing the local commercial district. Since April, 11 branches belonging to the Eastern Sales Group, including the Gimhae City Hall branch, have been making advance payments at local small businesses near their branches and revisiting to make purchases, in order to help local small business owners.
