No Pets Allowed in the Apartment... A Warning to the Neighbor
On Social Media: "Today It's Two, but Tomorrow I'll Release More"
In Bangkok, Thailand, a man who had endured years of loud barking from a neighbor’s dog sparked controversy after releasing two snakes into the hallway of his apartment building.
According to the Bangkok Post on May 20 (local time), the man released the snakes in the hallway as a warning to a neighbor who had kept a dog in the apartment for about two years, despite a regulation prohibiting pets.

According to reports, the neighbor had ignored complaints from other residents for years about the barking. The resident who released the snakes said he had suffered from noise for years due to dogs and cats kept by some residents, and expressed frustration, saying, "No matter how many complaints I made, nothing ever changed."
The incident came to light after a video showing the snakes emerging from a doorway was posted on social media. The snake owner stated on social media, "I love animals too," and added, "Today it’s two, but tomorrow I’ll release more."
As the video quickly spread online and the controversy grew, the apartment manager fined the dog owner 10,000 baht (about 420,000 won) for violating the no-pet policy and ordered the removal of the dog. The snake owner received an official written warning and was told not to keep snakes in the apartment.
