Yangpyeong County Holds "Integrity Talk Concert with the Governor"

Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jinseon) announced on the 22nd that it had held the "Integrity Talk Concert with the Governor" on the 21st at the Mulbit Theater of Yangpyeong Library, attended by about 200 staff members.

This Integrity Talk Concert moved away from traditional knowledge-based education and instead presented the somewhat weighty topic of integrity through cultural content such as magic and a cappella performances. This approach aimed both to reduce public officials' psychological resistance to integrity and to provide an opportunity to enhance awareness of integrity.

The event, hosted by a professional emcee, consisted of three main parts: an integrity talk with the governor and staff, an integrity-themed magic and mime performance by a professional magician, and a performance by a professional a cappella vocal group.

In particular, the "Integrity Talk," where Governor Jeon Jinseon took the stage to candidly share his philosophy and commitment to integrity with the staff, set the tone for the event. The real-time Q&A using QR codes allowed staff to communicate anonymously with the governor about issues they find challenging, which was met with an enthusiastic response. Following this, the integrity-themed magic and a cappella performances encouraged staff weary from their duties and provided a moving reminder of the value of integrity.

Governor Jeon Jinseon stated, "Integrity is the foundation of organizational management and begins with trust among members," adding, "We will continue to move away from one-sided education and create opportunities for direct communication and empathy with staff, so that we can discover and implement a variety of integrity initiatives."

Meanwhile, starting with this Integrity Talk Concert, Yangpyeong County plans to continue operating participatory integrity education programs for staff, such as the Integrity Golden Bell, which quizzes staff on integrity-related knowledge in a game format.
