Mirae Asset Securities to Hold '2025 Global Asset Allocation Forum' Yonhap News

This forum has been organized to share balanced asset allocation strategies with clients amid the expansion of deglobalization and growing geopolitical uncertainties. It is part of the company's ongoing efforts to grow alongside its clients, following the 'Client Protection Declaration' made in February this year.

In particular, the company plans to present global investment alternatives that go beyond US-centric strategies. According to the Korea Securities Depository's Securities Information Portal, as of the end of April, US stocks accounted for approximately 91% (about 147 trillion won) of all overseas stocks held by domestic investors.

The forum will be divided into three main sessions. In the first session, Park Heechan, Head of the Research Center at Mirae Asset Securities, will assess the global investment environment and propose rebalancing strategies that expand the focus beyond the United States. This session will also include in-depth outlooks on China and India.

In the second session, Lee Pilsang, Managing Director of Mirae Asset Global Investments' Hong Kong branch, will highlight the technological competitiveness and status of Chinese companies competing with US tech firms.

Finally, Jung Woochang, a researcher at the Mirae Asset Securities Research Center, will provide an in-depth discussion on India's long-term growth potential and investment opportunities.

Participants will have the opportunity to communicate with the presenters and resolve their questions during a Q&A session, and can also receive personalized investment advice from WM wealth managers present at the event.

Kim Minkyun, Head of Investment Strategy, stated, "At a time when US leadership is retreating, as seen in credit rating downgrades, it is necessary to pursue an asset allocation strategy that is more faithful to a global perspective." He emphasized, "Now is the time to take action and rebalance portfolios away from excessive US-centric investments, and toward Chinese technology companies where founders are directly driving technological innovation, as well as India, which is experiencing long-term growth."
