Woori Bank Launches High-Interest Installment Savings Offering Up to 8.5% for First-Time Customers

For First-Time Customers or Those Without Deposit or Installment Savings Accounts

Woori Bank announced on May 22 that it will launch the "Woori First Installment Savings 2" product, offering an interest rate of up to 8.5%, on May 29. "Woori First Installment Savings 2" is a follow-up to "Woori First Regular Installment Savings," which was launched in May 2023 and sold approximately one million accounts. This new product provides a high preferential interest rate without complicated conditions to customers who are transacting with Woori Bank for the first time, as well as to those who have a Woori Bank account but do not currently hold any deposit or installment savings products.

"Woori First Installment Savings 2" is a flexible installment savings product that can be subscribed to via Woori WON Banking. The subscription period is nine months, and customers can deposit up to 300,000 KRW per month. The base interest rate is 2.5% per annum. Customers who have not held any Woori Bank deposit or installment savings products in the previous six months are eligible for a preferential interest rate of 3.0 percentage points. In addition, customers who did not have any Woori Bank account as of the end of the previous year and are considered new customers will receive an additional preferential rate of 3.0 percentage points, for a total maximum preferential rate of 6.0 percentage points.

Meanwhile, ahead of the product launch, a pre-launch event will be held for seven days starting May 22. Customers can check detailed information about the product and receive a launch notification by sharing it with friends via KakaoTalk through the Woori WON Banking > Benefits > Ongoing Events > "Receive Notification for the Launch of Woori First Installment Savings 2 and Win Prizes!" event menu. All new Woori Bank customers who participate will receive a MegaMGC Coffee coupon, and 1,000 participants will be selected by lottery to receive a Naver Pay point coupon worth 3,000 KRW.
