Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghun) announced on May 22 that it is launching straw hats, an essential item for summer vacations, in anticipation of daytime temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius.


'Helen Kaminski', located on the 3rd floor of the main building at Gwangju Shinsegae, is a hat specialty brand that is highly popular for its sophisticated designs and UV protection, making it a favorite for beach trips and other vacation destinations.

Helen Kaminski hats are made from raffia, a fiber extracted from the leaves of tropical palm trees, which makes them sturdy yet lightweight and cool. In particular, each hat is handcrafted, and it takes a single artisan three days to complete one piece.


The signature product is Helen Kaminski's best-selling 'Bianca 12', priced at 320,000 won. This year's new release is the 'Erin', which has a brim length of 10 cm and is priced at 350,000 won. It is available in camel, natural, black, and gray colors.
