"Voice Blind Date," a live content program on Spoon, allows participants to communicate using only their voices. During the broadcast, listeners can use dedicated blind date items from an action item "menu" to take part in the couple-matching process in real time.
To coincide with university festival season, Spoon has reimagined this as an offline event. Male and female participants recruited on-site engage in a conversation for about 30 minutes while wearing blindfolds, guided by a host. After the blind date ends, they remove their blindfolds to see each other's faces for the first time, and their heart rates are measured to determine the final ranking. Prizes are awarded to couples in order of highest recorded heart rates: ▲AirPods Max (2 units), ▲AirPods 4th Generation (2 units), and ▲a 100,000-won dining voucher (1 unit).
The event began at Korea University on May 20 and will continue at Hanyang University on May 22 and Yonsei University on May 30.
A Spoon representative said, "We planned this offline event to further spread the fun of audio content that Generation Z can enjoy," and added, "We will continue to expand Spoon's signature content through various channels in the future."
