Shinkwang Church Donates 8.4 Million KRW in Scholarships to Kyungnam University, Leading the Way in Community Support

16 Years of Nurturing Local Talent

On May 20, at 11:00 a.m., Kyungnam University received a scholarship donation of 8.4 million KRW from Shinkwang Church (Senior Pastor Jin Changseol) at the International Seminar Room.

Located in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon, Shinkwang Church has been consistently awarding scholarships since 2010 to support the dreams and futures of students who aspire to become outstanding talents.

For the 16th consecutive year, Shinkwang Church has practiced the values of sharing and service. On this day, the church awarded a total of 8.4 million KRW in scholarships to seven current students who were recommended by professors attending the church. The event was attended by President Park Jaekyu, Vice President for Academic Affairs Hong Junghyo, university administrators and staff, Senior Pastor Jin Changseol, Pastor Kim Taeil, Elder Moon Changeun, Elder Han Jeongbok, and many other related figures.

Senior Pastor Jin Changseol of Shinkwang Church stated, "Serving Kyungnam University, which is at the heart of our local community, is also a mission of the church. I hope that this tradition of giving will continue and that the scholarship recipients will become people who can give back as much as they have received."

President Park Jaekyu responded, "I express my deep gratitude to Shinkwang Church for providing scholarships to our university over such a long period. I believe this will serve as an opportunity for the scholarship recipients to positively influence and contribute to society in the future."
