Jeonnam Province is set to fully implement the "2025 Small Business Design Development Support Project" to enhance the market competitiveness of small businesses.
This project supports the entire process from brand design, product and packaging design development, to prototype production for small businesses engaged in manufacturing, such as food and crafts, within the province.
This year, applications from participating companies will be accepted for three weeks starting from the 20th. The selection process will include document reviews, on-site evaluations, and presentations for the applicants. Ultimately, eight new development cases and ten renewal development cases?a total of eighteen?will be selected for support.
Small business owners wishing to participate must apply by June 10. Details regarding eligibility and application requirements can be found on the announcement section of the Jeonnam Province website or the notice section of the Jeonnam Technopark Foundation website.
The head of a food company in Damyang who participated in last year's project stated, "Through this project, we were able to improve our brand and packaging design by considering the overall development process, including brand direction, target customers, and pricing strategy. As consumer response improved, sales steadily increased, leading to great satisfaction."
Kim Hyungseong, Director of the Small and Medium Venture Business Division of Jeonnam Province, said, "Despite ongoing domestic and international political and economic uncertainties, there are many small business owners who continue their work with craftsmanship and pride. We will actively support them so that their dedication, products, and the stories of the region are effectively conveyed to consumers through branding and design."
From 2016 to 2024, Jeonnam Province supported a total of 130 cases through the Small Business Design Development Support Project, targeting traditional markets, provincially designated masters, and small business owners.
