This agreement was established to address the decrease in blood donors and blood supply issues caused by low birth rates and an aging population, and to contribute to the spread of a blood donation culture. Both organizations agreed to implement regular blood donation activities involving their employees to put the value of life sharing into practice and to build a close cooperative system.
The Seoul Southern Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross signs blood donation agreements with companies that participate in regular blood donation and designates them as life sharing organizations.
With this agreement, Clean Korea plans to conduct regular blood donation activities at least twice a year and to establish a stable foundation for blood donation participation even during periods of blood supply shortages. In addition, the company will serve as a model for establishing a blood donation culture by providing various support measures, such as rewards and welfare benefits for employees who participate in blood donation.
Since 2021, Clean Korea has consistently conducted voluntary blood donation campaigns for employees at its headquarters and Cheongju and Eumseong factories. In recognition of these proactive efforts and contributions to stabilizing the blood supply, the company received a commendation from the Director of the Blood Management Headquarters of the Korean Red Cross on World Blood Donor Day in 2023.
A Clean Korea representative stated, "Blood donation is the most practical form of sharing that saves lives, and through this agreement, we aim to contribute to the stabilization of the blood supply." The representative added, "Clean Korea will continue to lead warm life sharing as a company that fulfills its social responsibility by sustaining company-wide blood donation campaigns in the future."
