Venture Business Association and INKE Seek Local Collaboration Opportunities in Thailand

Participation from INKE Branches in 10 Countries and 6 Korean Companies
One-on-One Meetups and Visits to Local Organizations Held
Rising Expectations for Exchange and Cooperation with Thai Institutions

The Venture Business Association announced on the 22nd that, together with its global network, the International Network of Korean Entrepreneurs (INKE), it held the '2025 INKE SPRING' event in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 19 to 21.


This event was organized to support the global expansion of domestic venture companies and to establish practical cooperation models with INKE's overseas branches. The event was attended by Koo Kido, the INKE Domestic Chief Chair, as well as 12 branch heads from 10 countries, including Thailand, Mongolia, Japan, China, and Canada. Seven domestic venture companies from the consumer goods, medical devices, electric vehicles, IT (information technology), and software sectors also participated.

On the second day of the event, the INKE Spring Seminar was held, with major Thai industrial and economic organizations in attendance, expanding the possibilities for cooperation with the participating Korean companies. Organizations such as the Thai Cosmetic Cluster Trade Association (TCOS), the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), the Thai Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA), and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) participated, solidifying the foundation for collaboration in the beauty, automotive, and digital transformation sectors.


At the subsequent one-on-one business meetup, six outstanding Korean companies seeking to enter the Thai market?BeautecGlobal, People&Talk, Combat Diver School, MDCell, NextPenzia, and BrainCheese?participated and held consultations based on pre-arranged matches with local buyers, venture capitalists (VCs), and representatives from various industry sectors in Thailand.


In addition, the participants visited local startup support organizations such as the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and conducted market research and networking activities aimed at entering the ASEAN market. The participating companies were able to directly observe local trends and demand, and also explored the possibility of linking with follow-up support programs for future global expansion.


Koo Kido, the INKE Domestic Chief Chair, stated, "This event is a good example of a collaboration model based on a global network," and added, "INKE will continue to actively support the global scale-up of domestic ventures in the future."
