Husband Heo Il's Hospital Upgraded to General Hospital
"Second General Hospital in Western Hwaseong"
Hwaseong Yuil Hospital, operated by the husband of actress Yeom Jeonga (52) and directed by Heo Il, has been promoted to a general hospital.
According to Hwaseong City on May 21, Hwaseong Yuil Hospital held a promotion ceremony for its new status as a general hospital the previous day at the Sky Garden on the 7th floor of its new building. The event was attended by Jung Myunggeun, mayor of Hwaseong, as well as city and provincial council members, representatives from social organizations in Namyang-eup, and the heads of Hwaseong's western, eastern, and Dongtan public health centers.

On Facebook that day, Mayor Jung stated, "Hwaseong Yuil Hospital has become the second general hospital in the western region of Hwaseong," and added, "Until now, due to the lack of medical infrastructure in the western region of Hwaseong compared to its vast area, there was only one general hospital, causing many citizens to experience inconvenience and anxiety."
He continued, "Watching today's promotion ceremony, I once again pledge to create a Hwaseong Special City where all 1.05 million citizens can receive timely medical services anywhere," and emphasized, "I will do my utmost to expand the medical infrastructure."
Hwaseong Yuil Hospital, which opened in 2019, is one of the leading hospitals in the western region of Hwaseong. It operates a total of 12 medical departments, including obstetrics and gynecology, which began offering services on February 3. With this promotion, it is expected that some of the disparities in medical services in the region?such as the shortage of general hospitals, emergency medical facilities, and hospital beds?will be alleviated.
Actress Yeom Jeonga, wife of director Heo Il, also attended the event. Dressed neatly in a shirt, she was seen filming her husband on her mobile phone as he gave his commemorative speech, drawing attention. She also participated in the ribbon-cutting and commemorative photo sessions, posing with director Heo and Mayor Jung, making a heart gesture with their hands together.
Yeom Jeonga married orthopedic surgeon Heo Il, who is one year her senior, in 2006. They have one son and one daughter. Active across dramas, films, and variety shows, she is currently appearing on the tvN variety program "Unnies' Direct Delivery from the Mountains 2," and is set to return to her main profession in the second half of the year with the tvN drama "For, My First Love."
