Semiconductor Companies and Hotels Participate
Providing Career Information and Employment Guidance
Yeungjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung) has stepped up as a 'special assistant' to help students from specialized and Meister high schools in the Daegu Gyeongbuk region with career planning and employment support.
The Yeungjin College Career Plus Center held the 'Specialized and Meister High School Recruitment Fair' on May 21 in the International Seminar Room of the Information Building on campus, as part of the 'Gomatgo (Customized Employment Services for High School Students)' and 'Work-Study Dual System' initiatives. The event was a great success, with around 370 participants, including third-year students and accompanying teachers from 19 high schools in the Daegu Gyeongbuk region.
At the fair, MTS Corporation, a leading company in the semiconductor sector, and Lahan Select Hotel Gyeongju, a representative in the hotel and tourism industry, participated. They provided students with practical career information and employment guidance by presenting each company's recruitment details and offering hands-on explanations about their respective industries.
MTS Corporation, a company specializing in semiconductor materials and components, introduced the structure and outlook of the semiconductor industry, job descriptions, desired candidate profiles, and recruitment procedures during the fair, delivering practical employment information tailored to the students' level.
Lahan Select Hotel Gyeongju focused on hotel operations and service roles, explaining the responsibilities of hotel industry professionals and strategies for nurturing on-site talent. This approach was met with an enthusiastic response from students interested in the field.
This recruitment fair was organized as a program combining Yeungjin College's strength in customized, order-based education systems with the Career Plus Center's expertise in high school employment support, aiming to provide practical assistance for high school students in their career exploration and to enhance their employability.
President Choi Jaeyoung stated, "I hope this recruitment fair will develop into a sustainable employment linkage platform between specialized and Meister high school students and companies, rather than remaining a one-time event." He added, "We will continue to invite a variety of outstanding companies favored by high school students to expand recruitment fairs and actively support efforts to achieve tangible employment outcomes."
