2025 16th Young Writers Award Collection
Millie's Library Releases Card News and Author Interviews
The reading platform KT Millie's Library announced on May 20 that it will release the "2025 16th Young Writers Award Collection" and hold an online "Young Writers Award Winners Exhibition" based on curation.
The Young Writers Award is a literary prize organized by Munhakdongne, which selects and awards the seven most outstanding medium- and short-length novels published during the year by writers with less than ten years since their debut.
Through this "Young Writers Award Winners Exhibition," Millie's Library will provide content such as previews of the collection in card news format and interview videos with the award-winning authors. A representative from Millie's Library stated, "We plan to support readers in their 20s and 30s in discovering and easily accessing their literary tastes in everyday life, while also strengthening our role as a hub for reading culture."
The official Millie's Library YouTube channel will feature video content titled "Young Writers' Author Notes." The award-winning authors themselves will share stories about their works and creative processes, offering readers a deeper reading experience. The first episode, released on May 19, featured Baek Onyu, Sung Hyeryeong, and Hyun Hojung. The second episode, featuring Kang Bora, Seo Jangwon, and Lee Heeju, is scheduled to be released on May 26.
Special experiential events for users will also be held. Until June 1, users can leave their expectations for the limited edition re-cover of the "2025 16th Young Writers Award Collection" on the event page. Through a drawing, 1,000 people will receive an exclusive limited edition book from Millie's Library. Selected participants can freely share their reviews on their personal social media or Millie Post after reading the book, utilizing the "Millie Pairing" feature, which connects e-books and paper books.
Lee Sungho, head of the Reading Party at KT Millie's Library, stated, "As interest in Korean literature is higher than ever, we planned the 'Young Writers Award Winners Exhibition' to encourage even those unfamiliar with reading to naturally encounter books in their daily lives." He added, "We will continue to work closely with Munhakdongne and introduce a variety of projects that can spread reading culture."
