The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea announced on the 21st that it had held the '2025 Our Neighborhood Sharing Hero Sharing Leader and Sharing Company Certification Ceremony.'
The induction ceremony, held that day in the reception room of Dong-gu District Office with 16 Sharing Heroes, was the result of a relay donation campaign that began when Dong-gu District Mayor Lim Taek participated last month as the first Sharing Leader in the Gwangju region. Within just one month, 15 Sharing Leaders and Sharing Companies joined, achieving the 16th Sharing Hero milestone, and Dong-gu is now leading the spread of the sharing culture in the Gwangju area.
The Sharing Heroes who participated in this ceremony are as follows: Lim Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu; Kim Seungdo, CEO of Gold Vision Co., Ltd.; Ahn Byungnak, CEO of Bolsarino; Lee Hyungcheol, CEO of Mahanji LLC; Park Taesang, CEO of Hanwoobi Co., Ltd.; Kim Hosung, President of Dong-gu Residents' Autonomy Council; Kim Daeyoung, CEO of Namjin DNS Co., Ltd.; Jo Janggeun, President of Jiwon 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Council; Han Jonghun, Chairman of Donggwangju Saemaeul Geumgo; Lee Jeongmin, CEO of Coffee Bokneunjip Co., Ltd.; Park Sangseon, resident of Jiwon 1-dong; Park Gyeongi, President of Chungjang-dong Residents' Autonomy Council; Shim Oksun, Director of Dong-gu Public Health Center; Heo Seung, Chairman of Gwangju Saebom Nursing Home; Kang Jongok, CEO of Biosyn Korea Co., Ltd.; and Sung Kyunghoon, Director of Economic and Environmental Affairs, totaling 16 individuals.
Lim Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, stated, "The fact that our district's act of sharing has reached the 16th milestone in just one month is thanks to the warm hearts of our neighbors," and added, "I will continue to actively support the spread of a culture of giving together."
Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, said, "This is a great example of the positive influence of local leaders leading to actual donation participation," and expressed hope that "the culture of sharing will spread throughout the region."
Meanwhile, the 'Our Neighborhood Sharing Hero' campaign is a donation culture promotion project led by the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea until December this year. The campaign focuses on identifying individuals and companies who make one-time donations of 1 million won or more.
