People Power Party: "Yoon Sukyeol Is Now a Private Citizen" ? Distancing Statement

On May 21, former People Power Party leader Han Donghoon emphasized a clear break from election fraud theories. This is seen as a response to former President Yoon Sukyeol's actions, which appeared to be conscious of his attendance at a documentary screening promoting election fraud claims.

On this day, Han stated on social media, "The People Power Party must not join hands with Yoon Again, Jatongdang, Ugongdang, or election fraud conspiracy theorists," adding, "That would be a shortcut to the party's self-destruction." He was calling for a separation from far-right groups advocating election fraud theories during the presidential election season.

However, the timing of Han's post came immediately after news broke that former President Yoon had attended the premiere of the film "Election Fraud, Is It God's Work?" This film, planned and produced by producer Lee Youngdon and former Korean history lecturer Jeon Hangil, follows suspicions surrounding alleged election fraud.

Regarding former President Yoon's public attendance at the election fraud film during the presidential election season, the People Power Party has refrained from making comments. Shin Dongwook, chief spokesperson for the People Power Party, told reporters on this day, "Former President Yoon is now a private citizen who has already left our party," and added, "We have no comment on his schedule."
