The Gwangju City Council of Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Heo Kyungheng) announced on May 21 that on the previous day, it appointed Dr. Choi Minsu (5th Legislative Examination) as a legislative advisor, and Lawyer Yoo Jihoon (44th Bar Exam), Lawyer Kim Jeongsu (49th Bar Exam), and Lawyer Lee Chan (53rd Bar Exam) as legal advisors.

The legislative and legal advisors of the Gwangju City Council are composed of a total of four members and operate in accordance with the complete revision of the 'Ordinance on the Operation of Legislative and Legal Advisors of the Gwangju City Council.' Over a two-year term, they will provide advice on legislative issues during the enactment and revision of autonomous regulations, review current issues related to legislative activities and council operations, and support litigation involving the city council.
The newly appointed advisors expressed their aspirations, stating, "We will do our utmost to contribute to the advancement of the council's legislative activities and the promotion of citizens' welfare, based on the experience and expertise we have accumulated in the field."
Chairman Heo Kyungheng said, "I feel reassured to have you join us as legislative and legal advisors of the Gwangju City Council for the next two years," adding, "I hope the advisors will play an important role in the council's policy decision-making process, and I ask that you provide diligent advice based on your expertise and extensive experience."
