Korea Investment & Securities announced on May 21 that it held the awards ceremony for the '11th BanKIS University Student Mock Investment Competition 2025' at its Yeouido headquarters on May 20.
This competition was conducted in a league format for both domestic and overseas stocks. A total of 5,181 participants from 452 universities nationwide competed fiercely. Scholarships totaling 20.1 million won were awarded to the top 10 individuals and the top 5 teams based on their returns.
In the individual category of the domestic stock league, Oh Junyong (Hongik University, 26 years old) achieved a return of 214.3%, earning first place. In the team category, the "Jangjeondongui Hyeonin" team from Pusan National University took first place with a return of 534.5%.
In the overseas stock league, Kang Jiweon (Chonbuk National University, 26 years old) secured first place in the individual category with a return of 241%, while the "Kyungpook National University Department of Electronics" team won first place in the team category with a return of 152.5%.
The top 5 individuals in terms of returns will be granted an exemption from the document screening process when applying for entry-level positions at Korea Investment & Securities. For recruitment-linked applicants, an exemption from the aptitude test (once within two years) will also be provided.
