On May 21, 2025, Fourbyfour, a content artificial intelligence (AI) solutions company, announced that it has developed its image enhancement AI solution 'Pixel' as a dedicated plugin optimized for broadcast production environments, and will unveil it for the first time at 'KOBA 2025'.
From May 20 to May 23, at COEX in Seoul, Fourbyfour demonstrated the broadcast-exclusive product it co-developed with GeminiSoft, a company specializing in digital media management platforms for broadcasting, at the 33rd International Broadcast, Media, Sound, and Lighting Exhibition (KOBA 2025).
After signing a joint development agreement for the plugin product with GeminiSoft in March, Fourbyfour has been working to integrate its image enhancement AI solution 'Pixel' into GeminiSoft's media asset management system software, 'MAM (Media Asset Management),' in the form of a plugin.
The MAM system equipped with the Pixel plugin enables a variety of tasks, such as improving image quality or changing video formats and options, by utilizing the Pixel solution during the storage and retrieval of various media assets in video content form.
The integrated Pixel plugin can be combined immediately without changing the existing MAM software workflow. By enhancing video quality, it makes it easier to extract metadata?the main function of MAM?including identifying people and objects, OCR (optical character recognition), and STT (speech-to-text), thereby facilitating the discovery of data within videos.
Bae Sungwan, head of the Solution Business Division at Fourbyfour, said, "We have received positive feedback from industry officials who witnessed the on-site demonstration, to the extent that some broadcasters have already begun discussions based on the premise of adoption." He added, "Since the MAM provided by GeminiSoft is already a proven system used by most domestic broadcasters, supplying the Pixel solution as a plugin will be a significant advantage in entering the broadcasting industry market."
