On May 21, 7-Eleven announced that it plans to introduce new products in line with local release schedules through a strategic collaboration with Japan's leading confectionery company, Fujiya.

Fujiya, established in 1910, is one of Japan's major confectionery companies and owns well-known brands and IPs such as Peko, Anpanman, Country Ma'am, and LOOK. 7-Eleven will select categories that reflect seasonality and plans to bring Fujiya's limited-edition seasonal products?items that are difficult to find even in Japan?into the Korean market.

The first product to be released as a limited-edition seasonal item is the "Peko Milky Caramel Cream Soda Flavor," which will go on sale starting May 28. This product is a spring and summer limited edition of the famous "Peko Milky Caramel," a must-have item for travelers to Japan. The Milky Caramel Cream Soda Flavor comes with 12 soda-flavored caramels, and the packaging features Peko dressed in a cream soda costume, which draws attention.

Since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, 7-Eleven has been strengthening its strategic partnerships to allow Korean consumers to continue their global consumption experiences that have increased with outbound travel. Since October 2023, 7-Eleven has been implementing a differentiated product strategy through the global 7-Eleven network. Over the past year, the company has imported about 190 global products and achieved cumulative sales of more than 10 million units.

Recently, 7-Eleven directly sourced the trending "Jersey Milk Pudding," achieving cumulative sales of 1 million units. After a year of preparation, the company completed direct sourcing by introducing high-speed ferries and specialized containers. Jersey Milk Pudding has maintained the top spot in the dessert category for five consecutive months.

7-Eleven plans to further expand the introduction of new overseas products this year, leveraging its established logistics, customs clearance systems, and inventory management technology. Han Woori, MD of the 7-Eleven Global Sourcing Team, said, "Since the team was formed in 2023, we have successfully directly sourced popular overseas products with high consumer demand, such as Langue de Chat and Jersey Milk Pudding. Thanks to these successes, we are now receiving proactive offers from overseas manufacturers," adding, "As Korean consumers' overseas travel experiences increase, we plan to bring in trending products from a variety of countries in the future."
