This activity was made more meaningful through the collaboration of two airlines, as members of Air Busan's volunteer club "Blue Angel" participated together with the Jin Air flight attendants' volunteer team "Naneun Nabi."
On site, about 30 flight attendants took part in various activities, including cleaning and disinfecting the shelter, changing pet pads, distributing feed, and walking the animals. In particular, the volunteers went beyond simple physical maintenance to share warmth through interaction with the abandoned animals.
An Air Busan representative said, "As a pet-friendly airline, we are committed not only to fulfilling our social responsibility to protect abandoned animals, but also to continuously promoting a mature pet culture."
In response to the growing demand for traveling with pets, Air Busan has increased the number of pets allowed in the cabin from three to a maximum of ten since 2021. As a result, the airline has recorded over 10,000 pet transport cases annually and is accelerating the expansion of its pet-friendly services.
