This additional round of applications follows the initial round, which accepted applications from February 13 to February 28 and provided first-round support to 812 households totaling 908 million won. The city now plans to accept further applications for the remaining budget of approximately 91 million won until the funds are exhausted. Applications will be accepted starting on May 21 at the administrative welfare centers in each eup, myeon, or dong of the applicant's registered address.

Eligible applicants are: ▲ newlywed couples who, as of the application date, both have their registered address in Changwon and do not own a home; ▲ couples who registered their marriage within the past seven years (from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2024); ▲ couples with a household income at or below 180% of the median income (6,629,000 won for a two-person household) and who have an existing jeonse loan. For those meeting these requirements, the city will provide interest support of up to 1.2% of the outstanding loan balance, with a maximum of 1 million won. Households with children will receive an additional 20% per child, with the maximum support capped at 1.5 million won per year.

However, households receiving basic livelihood security, those residing in public rental housing, households that have signed a lease contract with a first-degree direct relative or their spouse, and households that have already received interest support through a similar program in 2025 are excluded from this support. For more details, applicants can visit the Changwon City website (Administrative Information → Department Data Room → Housing Policy Division), or check the City News → New Announcements, or the public notice board.

Park Seongok, Director of Urban Policy, stated, "We will do our utmost to support housing welfare policies aimed at reducing housing costs for newlyweds and addressing issues related to marriage and low birth rates," adding, "We hope that through this additional recruitment, more newlywed couples will be able to benefit from the program."
