‘Gijang Bonghankkul’ Promotional Event
to Be Held Around Jangansa Temple on May 25
Gijang County in Busan (County Governor Jung Jongbok) will hold the '12th Gijang Bonghankkul Promotional Event' on May 25 in the area around Jangansa Temple.
This event, organized by the Gijang Beekeeping Research Association, aims to widely promote the excellence of 'Gijang Bonghankkul,' a natural honey harvested in Gijang, the center of Busan's forests, and to revitalize the beekeeping industry.
At the event venue, visitors will be able to sample and experience a variety of honey by-products such as honey rice cakes, beeswax, and propolis, engaging both their eyes and taste buds. In particular, the honey extraction process of Bonghankkul, harvested directly from the pristine areas of Gijang, will be demonstrated on-site, which is expected to receive an enthusiastic response from attendees.
Additionally, discounted sales of by-products such as propolis and pollen will be held at the event, providing an opportunity to experience the excellent quality of Gijang Bonghankkul at affordable prices.
An official from the county stated, "This event will be an opportunity to directly experience the excellence of eco-friendly Bonghankkul," and added, "We hope it will help increase the income of beekeeping farms as well as revitalize the local rural economy."
