A sign reading "Holding an alumni reunion at the summit, please take a detour" is posted along the trail around a lake park in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province. Thread 'te_seomok'
On the 17th, an online user, identified as A, posted a photo on their social networking service (SNS) that was recently taken at a lake park in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province. The photo shows a sign at what appears to be the entrance to the hiking trail, reading, "Alumni reunion in progress at the summit. Please take a detour." A explained, "It's a small mountain on the trail around the lake park. To complete a lap around the park, you have to cross that mountain, but they had put up that sign. I found it absurd, so I took a photo."
A's story was also reported on JTBC's 'Incident Chief' on the 19th. A recalled to the media, "Everyone who saw the sign was bewildered, but since going up anyway would only cause trouble, everyone just took a detour." A continued, "I tried to reach the summit from another entrance in the back, but there was an identical sign there as well," and pointed out, "Both entrances to the summit were blocked." A added, "It was a weekend afternoon, so there were especially many people, but with the path completely blocked, it caused disruptions to traffic and made things even more complicated."
Online users who came across the story criticized the situation, commenting, "Wasn't a single member of the reunion thinking straight?" "If it were me, I would have pulled that sign out as soon as I saw it," "There is no other way for people to pass except through that mountain path. They don't care about our route and are basically telling us to go back the way we came," "If they rented the entire place, that's fine, but why are they telling people to detour at a public space as they please?" and "If they're so confident, they should immediately reveal which school they're from."
