Theoretical Education and Practical Training
Sangmyung University announced on May 20 that the "Quadruped Walking Robot Bootcamp," recently held by the Intelligent Robot Innovation Convergence College Project Group at the Cheonan Campus Student Center, received a positive response from students.
The bootcamp was held from May 16 to 17, with 43 students participating from Hanyang University ERICA, Kwangwoon University, Pukyong National University, Yeungjin College, Chosun University, and Korea Polytechnic University.
The students received theoretical education on the structure, operating principles, and operating systems of quadruped walking robots, and also participated in hands-on training to operate the robots.
Ko Dongyoung, a student in the Department of Robotics Engineering at Hanyang University ERICA, stated, "By actually controlling the robot, I was able to gain a much deeper understanding of algorithms and autonomous driving technology."
Kang Minjun, a student in the Department of Software at Sangmyung University, also said, "By considering the software design required for robot operation, I was able to strengthen my academic capabilities."
