Sejong City announced on the 20th that it had conducted the "2025 Intensive Safety Inspection" to ensure the safety of public facilities.

From April 14 to June 13, the city is carrying out intensive safety inspections at 82 locations, including aging facilities, public facilities with risk factors, and multi-use facilities.

This inspection, presided over by the Deputy Mayor of Administration, targeted two sites?Water Quality Restoration Center B and the Resource Recovery Center?covering the fields of electricity, fire safety, and architecture in public facilities.

At Water Quality Restoration Center B, the Deputy Mayor of Administration checked whether improvements identified during the center's own preliminary inspection had been implemented, and thoroughly examined the status of on-site safety management.

At the Resource Recovery Center, the overall safety management status of the facility was reviewed through a joint preliminary inspection involving private-sector experts and public officials.

During the intensive safety inspection period, the city plans to strengthen its management system for preventive measures in cooperation with private-sector experts.

Ha Kyun Kim, Deputy Mayor of Administration, stated, "The safety of public facilities is directly connected to the lives of citizens, so we will continue to conduct practical, on-site inspections," adding, "Any identified issues will be immediately addressed to prevent accidents in advance."
