The "I Design Seminar: K-Content" will be held on May 22 at the George Mason University Korea Campus, located within the Incheon Global Campus.
The seminar has been organized to establish an Incheon-style K-content development model through collaboration between the private sector, government, and academia. It is hosted and organized by George Mason University Korea Campus, with support from the Incheon Metropolitan Government.
The city has developed a plan to create "K-Conland" within the Incheon Free Economic Zone in line with the government's "K-Content Global Top 4 Strategy." The city is also actively promoting the development of the content industry by receiving Letters of Intent (LOI) from global content companies interested in participating in the project. This seminar is part of that strategy and aims to present a direction for Incheon to become a global hub city for cultural content.
The seminar will be moderated by Professor Lee Gyutak, who is currently serving as a judge for the Korean Music Awards. Representatives from both private and public sectors, including Hanwha, SM C&C, and Incheon Tourism Organization, will participate to share their respective practical case studies. The event will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session with experts on the topic of "Incheon-Style K-Content Development."
An official from the Incheon Metropolitan Government stated, "Incheon aims to become a global hub city leading K-content," and added, "Through this seminar, we will actively support the establishment of an Incheon-style K-content development model through collaboration between the private sector, government, and academia, and strive to achieve tangible results."
