The Daegok-dong Council of Organization Leaders in Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk (Chairman Kim Jongcheol) has joined in a warm act of sharing for the local community.

The Gimcheon Welfare Foundation announced on the 20th that it had received a donation of 2 million won from the Daegok-dong Council of Organization Leaders on the 13th.


The Daegok-dong Council of Organization Leaders is an autonomous council that gathers a wide range of opinions from local residents and serves as a bridge between the administration and the community. It contributes to the development of the local society in various fields such as welfare, safety, and the environment.


This donation was reportedly decided through an internal meeting, with the aim of spreading a culture of sharing and strengthening social solidarity within the community.


Kim Jongcheol, chairman of the council, stated, "Although the amount is not large, we decided to make this donation in the hope that it would be of some help to the community," and added, "We will continue to engage in activities together with our neighbors in the future."


Bae Nakho, Mayor of Gimcheon, said, "The warm hearts that care for neighbors are making Gimcheon an even warmer place," and continued, "The donated funds will be delivered with care to those in need. We will continue to work toward building a welfare community through cooperation between the public and private sectors."


Meanwhile, the Gimcheon Welfare Foundation is focusing on implementing tailored welfare centered on the local community through projects such as the Gimcheon-type SOC Emergency Support Project, the Hope Welfare Community Support Project, customized sponsorship programs, and welfare vehicle support projects.
