'Environmental Information Guide' booklet created by Hwasun County to help residents understand. Provided by Hwasun County
Hwasun County (Governor Koo Bokgyu) announced on the 19th that it has produced and is distributing the 'Environmental Information Guide,' which organizes complex environmental terms and application procedures in an easy-to-understand manner.
To achieve this, the county collected various environmental information starting in April, and focused on enhancing the legal reliability and effectiveness of the guide by thoroughly reviewing relevant laws and regulations.
This guide brings together a variety of environmental information that residents can use in their daily lives, including application procedures for various environmental support programs, the operational status of environmental facilities (such as landfills), and instructions for the disposal of household and food waste, all in a single, easy-to-understand volume.
Additionally, the guide features the 11 scenic spots of Hwasun and the county's beautiful natural landscapes to promote Hwasun County. It also includes environmental cartoons and characters throughout the booklet to enhance interest and improve the delivery of information.
A total of 500 copies of the guide have been produced and distributed to Eup and Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers and each administrative village. The county expects this will make a significant contribution to raising residents' awareness of environmental issues.
No Samsuk, Director of the Environment Division of Hwasun County, stated, "This guide is more than just a promotional material; it is a practical resource that helps residents recognize the importance of carbon neutrality and environmental conservation and put it into practice. We will continue to actively pursue policies for carbon neutrality and the realization of a sustainable environment."
