Job Matching Data by Region Released
On May 20, Danggeun announced that it had analyzed and released job matching data from the past year on its local job search platform, Danggeun Alba.
According to the released data, the most common distance for job applications among all Danggeun Alba postings was 1 to 2 kilometers (15.6%), clearly showing a trend of seeking jobs within one's everyday living area. The second most common distance was 0 to 1 kilometer (14.5%).
By region, Gwangju Metropolitan City recorded the shortest average hiring distance among all cities and provinces, at 6.8 kilometers. Incheon Metropolitan City and Daegu Metropolitan City followed, both with an average of 7.0 kilometers, tying for second place. Looking at more specific districts, Gangbuk-gu in Seoul recorded the shortest average distance at 4.5 kilometers, followed by Bupyeong-gu in Incheon (4.6 kilometers) and Michuhol-gu in Incheon (4.8 kilometers).
In the "Neighbor Alba" service, which allows users to quickly find help from nearby neighbors for urgent or simple tasks, 43.3% of confirmed hires were matched within 30 minutes. This is a striking figure compared to the second highest rate, which was 8.6% for hires matched within 30 minutes to one hour. In fact, many related postings include requests such as "Urgently needed" or "Someone who can come immediately."
A Danggeun Alba representative stated, "Based on the hyperlocal trend, there are increasing cases of neighbors helping each other with both big and small tasks in close proximity," adding, "Danggeun Alba plans to continue establishing itself as a service that actively connects local jobs based on trust."
