Distributed Both Online and Offline to Promote Science Culture and Tourism

The National Busan Science Museum (Director Song Samjong) has published the "Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Science Culture Map," which provides a comprehensive overview of science and culture facilities in the southeastern region, in celebration of the museum's 10th anniversary.

This map includes information on a total of 32 science museums and related institutions affiliated with the Southeastern Science Museum Council, which is organized by the National Busan Science Museum. Specifically, it covers 12 institutions in Busan, 2 in Ulsan, and 18 in Gyeongnam.


The map offers not only basic information such as exterior views, photos of representative exhibits, locations, and opening hours for each facility, but also organizes details by theme, including astronomical observation facilities, exhibition halls dedicated to infants and toddlers, and the operation status of educational programs tailored to different age groups, thereby enhancing user convenience.


The map is distributed offline through participating institutions and is also available online in the "Promotion - Science Culture Map" section of the National Busan Science Museum's website.


Song Samjong, Director of the National Busan Science Museum, stated, "We created this map to make information about science and culture facilities?which broaden understanding of science and technology and stimulate imagination?easily accessible to everyone. As a hub science museum in the southeastern region, we will continue our efforts to promote the spread of regional science culture and to vitalize science tourism."


The Southeastern Science Museum Council was established to build a cooperative network among science museums and related institutions in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam region. It is currently engaged in initiatives such as the "Southeastern Science Culture Award," "Job Competency Enhancement Workshops and Seminars," and "Science Content Exchange and Cooperation."
