Gwangju Science Museum Holds 'Aesseuji (ESG) Plogging' Environmental Cleanup Activity

The National Gwangju Science Museum announced that on the previous day, around 40 employees participated in an environmental cleanup volunteer activity called 'Aesseuji (ESG) Plogging.' This activity was part of the museum's ESG management practices and eco-friendly social contribution initiatives. Participants collected trash inside and outside the museum, as well as along nearby walking trails and roads.

In celebration of Earth Day, the museum has been conducting an environmental management campaign for about a month. Various practical programs are being offered, including an eco-friendly science festival, an environmental musical, a used battery collection drive, and a lights-off event. This volunteer activity was held immediately after the '2025 Gwangju Science Invention Festival,' adding even more significance to the event.

Director Lee Jeonggu stated, "Our staff experienced the importance of environmental protection as they cleaned up alongside the footsteps of citizens," and added, "We will continue to practice ESG management and carry out activities for a sustainable future."
