LG Electronics Targets 'Global South' HVAC Market, Invites Clients to Korea

Visiting Korea from Seven Asian Countries Including India and Vietnam
Seminar Showcases Technologies Such as Thermal Management Solutions
This Year, Expansion Targets Middle East, Africa, and Beyond

LG Electronics is accelerating the expansion of its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) business in the global market. The company is seeking growth opportunities by expanding its business focus beyond India, which has recently drawn attention, to include the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

On the 19th, LG Electronics hosted the 'LG HVAC Leaders Summit 2025' in Korea, inviting HVAC consultants from seven Asian countries, including India, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

This four-day summit is being held in a seminar format, sharing the latest trends and industry status of the HVAC market, and introducing a variety of LG Electronics’ technologies, such as system air conditioners, chillers, and data center thermal management solutions.

The invited consultants are key B2B customers for LG Electronics. Notably, this year, the invitation list was expanded not only to India but also to the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, in order to target the 'Global South' market, with a particular focus on the Middle East and South Asia. In the Global South region, demand for HVAC systems in factories and offices is rapidly increasing due to growth in manufacturing and urban development, resulting in more B2B business opportunities.

During the seminar, representative cases demonstrating LG Electronics’ capabilities in executing large-scale projects were shared. LG Electronics supplied its high-efficiency commercial system air conditioner, 'Multi V i', to a massive logistics center in the Tuas area of Singapore. The project received the highest grade under Singapore’s Green Mark, an eco-friendly building certification program established by the Building and Construction Authority, and LG Electronics was the only manufacturer to meet the client’s stringent requirements, drawing significant attention.

In addition, the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) data center thermal management solution attracted interest. LG Electronics showcased solutions such as a coolant distribution unit (CDU) that attaches cooling plates to high-heat-generating components like GPUs and CPUs and circulates coolant to dissipate heat, as well as air cooling solutions utilizing large-scale chillers.

Following the seminar, participants will visit various sites where LG Electronics’ HVAC products are installed, including LG Science Park in Magok, Seoul, a large residential-commercial complex in Busan, and a large cafe in Paju.

LG Electronics stated that it will continue to promote its capabilities in customized design and operations, further strengthening its business foundation to secure more orders. To this end, the company is gradually expanding the regions where it holds summits. On May 14, it held a summit for consultants from Africa in Kenya, and in June and July, it plans to invite consultants from the Middle East and Latin America to Korea and Panama, respectively, to continue exchanges.

At the end of last year, LG Electronics established the Eco Solution (ES) Business Division to accelerate the growth of its HVAC business. The ES Business Division is conducting research and development tailored to the characteristics of each region, using air solution research centers established in North America and Europe as bases, in order to digitize the air conditioning industry with AI technology. Additionally, LG Electronics has built a business structure that directly handles all processes locally, from production to sales, installation, and maintenance, to respond to market changes.

Lee Jaesung, head of the ES Business Division (Executive Vice President) at LG Electronics, said, "We will create business opportunities by closely engaging with HVAC consultants in major markets worldwide, leveraging differentiated technological capabilities and execution power," adding, "Based on customized solutions, we will further strengthen our leadership in the global B2B HVAC market."
