Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Kangsoo) has completed the Yanghwa Children's Park Improvement Project, which was implemented to ensure that local residents and children can use the park safely and comfortably, and will hold a completion ceremony on May 21.

Yanghwa Children's Park (394-1 Hapjeong-dong) is a key neighborhood park with a very high usage rate, as it is located near daycare centers, elementary schools, and residential areas.

Accordingly, Mapo-gu set a vision for the park as a "park for all generations," going beyond simple facility repairs and reorganizing the space from the design stage so that people of all ages can use it together.

Various new playground facilities such as swings, slides, seesaws, and an observatory have been installed to contribute to children's physical development and creativity.

The sand in the existing sandbox has been replaced and refurbished so that children can continue to enjoy sensory play with soil as before.

In addition, a circular track and shade structures have been installed around the playground facilities, and a variety of flowering trees that bloom beautifully throughout the four seasons have been planted to allow visitors to experience the beauty of nature within the city.

Furthermore, to enable local residents to exercise freely even on sunny or rainy days, outdated exercise equipment has been removed and replaced with roofed exercise equipment, allowing for continuous health management.

Mapo-gu plans to continue enhancing park facilities and strengthening systematic maintenance so that residents can enjoy both leisure and health while experiencing nature in the city.

Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, "It is very meaningful that Yanghwa Children's Park has been newly created as an open space where not only children but all generations can come together," adding, "We will continue to create a park environment where residents can relax and communicate comfortably."
