Recruitment of Companies for the Supply Chain Track of the Carbon Neutral Facility Investment Support Program

Consulting and Facility Introduction Support
for Carbon Neutrality in SMEs

On May 20, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that, together with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, it is recruiting companies to participate in the supply chain track of the '2025 Carbon Neutral Facility Investment Support Program for SMEs'.

The 'Carbon Neutral Facility Investment Support for SMEs' program is designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises reduce greenhouse gas emissions and effectively respond to global carbon regulations by supporting the transition to energy-efficient or carbon-reducing facilities.

Recruitment of Companies for the Supply Chain Track of the Carbon Neutral Facility Investment Support Program

The supply chain track is a specialized initiative that supports the introduction of facilities by partner companies in order to minimize the expected damage to SMEs caused by supply chain-focused international carbon regulations, such as the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and supply chain due diligence directives. This track has been introduced for the first time this year and is expected to support about 30 companies.

Eligible applicants for the supply chain track are companies that have been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'CBAM Response Infrastructure Building Project' and 'Climate Disclosure and Supply Chain Due Diligence Infrastructure Building Project', both of which support SMEs' carbon neutrality in response to international carbon trade regulations. As with the basic and supply chain tracks announced in February, industries with high carbon emissions, such as chemical manufacturing and primary metal manufacturing, will receive preferential support.

Companies selected for the supply chain track will receive consulting services for establishing carbon neutrality strategies and identifying optimal greenhouse gas reduction facilities, as well as support for facility introduction costs averaging 100 million won per company.
