Gwangju Social Service Institute (Director Kim Daesam) and Gwangju Veterans Hospital (Director Lee Samyong) signed a mutual cooperation agreement on the 19th at Gwangju Veterans Hospital to promote the development of public care and health medical services.
This agreement was pursued with the goal of creating a community without gaps in care through collaboration between the two institutions, in preparation for the Care Integration Support Act, which is scheduled to be implemented in March next year.
The agreement includes the following: implementation of public care and public health medical cooperation projects; establishment of a cooperative system between the two institutions; and education and training to strengthen the capabilities of local care and health personnel. Through this cooperation, the two institutions plan to provide emergency care services and support patients in resuming daily life after discharge. They also plan to strengthen care service capabilities by providing education to care workers on the specific characteristics of each patient.
Kim Daesam, Director of the Gwangju Social Service Institute, said, "With the implementation of the Care Integration Support Act approaching, we look forward to the collaboration between the two institutions that provide public care and medical services," and added, "Through this agreement, we will do our best to provide warm and comprehensive care and to be a partner in the happiness of citizens."
