Splatform Wins 'CTR Changwon Plant Manufacturing AI Demonstration Project'

Splatform announced on the 19th that it has been awarded the 'Manufacturing AI Quality Prediction and Integrated Operation Platform Demonstration Project' for the CTR Changwon plant.

Splatform Wins 'CTR Changwon Plant Manufacturing AI Demonstration Project'

The demonstration project will run until 2026. After its completion, the technology is expected to be expanded to CTR's partner companies and the automotive parts cluster across the Gyeongnam region. This project is supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Gyeongsangnam-do. It is being carried out as part of the '2025 Manufacturing AI Infrastructure Project (AI Solution Development and Demonstration Support)' led by Gyeongnam Technopark.

Splatform will collaborate with CTR, a company specializing in automotive parts, to build a quality prediction AI system and an integrated AI operation platform based on MLOps. Through this project, Splatform will utilize the core technology of its manufacturing-specialized AI platform, Nubison. The company will develop AI algorithms that analyze time-series data by process to predict the probability of defects in advance. The developed technology will be applied to CTR's production sites to simultaneously improve production quality and equipment operation efficiency.

The demonstration project is led by Formation Labs as the main institution, with Gyolimsoft responsible for developing power prediction AI, thereby establishing a cooperative system among smart factory and ICT convergence solution companies.

CTR is a global automotive parts specialist. It produces key components such as suspension, drive, and steering systems, supplying products to major automakers including Hyundai Motor, Kia, GM, Stellantis, Ford, and Toyota. Its annual sales reached approximately KRW 1 trillion as of 2023. CTR continues its stable growth based on its capability to supply module-unit parts and its global OEM network.

Lim Daekeun, CEO of Splatform, stated, "This demonstration project goes beyond simply introducing technology; it will serve as an opportunity to secure an AI-based quality management model applicable to the entire domestic automotive parts industry." He added, "In the future, we will integrate AI into various manufacturing processes such as semiconductors and automotive parts, and strive to become a leading partner in AI transformation (AX) in the manufacturing sector."
