Youngchul Jung, Head of Yeongdong County, Donates Hometown Love Fund to Seodaemun District for Third Consecutive Year

Seodaemun District in Seoul announced on the 19th that Youngchul Jung, head of Yeongdong County in Chungbuk, has donated 1 million won to the district as part of the Hometown Love Donation program. Seodaemun District and Yeongdong County are sister cities, and Jung's donation this year marks the third consecutive year, adding further significance.

During his visit to Seodaemun District Office on the 16th, Youngchul Jung stated, "I hope this donation will make a small contribution to the development of Seodaemun District and the improvement of residents' welfare. I would also like to invite the mayor and residents to the '2025 Yeongdong World Traditional Music Expo' opening this September."


Seongheon Lee, mayor of Seodaemun District, responded, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to Yeongdong County and to you, County Head Jung. We will use the donation carefully for the benefit of our residents and the development of the district." He also said, "In addition to visiting the Traditional Music Expo, we will further strengthen our efforts to promote mutual development between the two local governments through various exchanges, including youth cultural exchanges, direct trade of agricultural and livestock products, and the promotion of local festivals."
