Woongsan Band to Perform at Jeju Festival Amidst Green Tea Fields A festival will be held at the Wild Orchid Farm in Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, from May 16 to 25. Wild Orchid

The 'Wild Orchid Festival' is a Jeju-based festival and cultural event where visitors can enjoy live music and tea against the backdrop of Jeju's green tea fields. Talented jazz, pop, and classical musicians from both Korea and abroad are set to deliver a rich musical experience.

Audiences can look forward to performances by the Woongsan Band, one of Asia's leading jazz bands; the Jo Ahye Band, known for its growing musical depth; Pilgrims, a group of vocalists and instrumentalists active both domestically and internationally; and Pedro & Lucia, who present original melodies by blending classical and contemporary music as well as Eastern and Western influences. The festival is held over ten days from May 16 to May 25, with concerts scheduled in the afternoon or evening on May 17-18 and May 23-25.

This is a rare opportunity to meet musicians who have performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, right here in Jeju. Pedro Henriques da Silva, currently a professor at the New York University School of Music, has earned a reputation as a composer at international film festivals. Lucia Caruso, a pianist and composer, is active in orchestral, choral, and film music. As the only tea festival in the world to receive Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC), the Wild Orchid Tea Festival in eastern Jeju offers a springtime experience where live music and nature come together.
